The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT)
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is tasked with monitoring the safety of every form of transportation in the state. The primary bureaus that ConnDOT operates are the Bureaus of: Aviation & Ports, Highway Operations, Engineering and Construction, Finance & Administration, Policy and Planning and Public Transportation.

- Transportation Safety Programs– The ConnDOT strives to keep drivers, passengers, bikers and pedestrians safe. To this end they have created a variety of documents and publications for the pubic to read. - Work Zone Safety Awareness– The ConnDOT believes that work zone safety is the responsibility of all drivers and their families. To this end they have compiled a list of resources to include facts about work zone safety, work zone safety awareness and a child’s work zone safety activity book.
