Insurance Complaints Online

Connecticut's Insurance Department regulates all insurance companies doing business in the state, including companies like Allstate, GEICO, Peerless and Progressive that have their headquarters elsewhere. If you have a complaint about how your insurance company is treating you, contacting the Insurance Department can help get your complaint resolved. Now you can submit your complaints online, as well as by phone, fax, mail and e-mail. The state says that complaints made online will be routed directly to an examiner. The Insurance Department's new system provides a step-by-step guide that explains how to enter information and even attach documents electronically (and you can still mail or fax them). Best of all, it's available at any time, day or night. You don't have to take time from your workday, and you don't have to sit on the phone waiting for "the next available representative" to become available.
